Circle of Care was founded in 2007 by Cynthia Chimienti, MA and Shannon Brown, MBA, ND, LAc.
Cynthia is a psychotherapist, healthcare advocate, and in-home care provider residing in Portland, OR. She has a Master’s degree in counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Having worked in the fields of hospice, eldercare, and patient advocacy since 1998, she was introduced to home health and caregiving when she was abruptly confronted with her own parent’s health issues, illnesses and untimely deaths. Her own personal journey of caregiving, combined with her mental health background, and experience of navigating the complex maze of the healthcare system, inspired her work in this field and eventually led her to form Circle of Care.
Shannon is a naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist with a private practice in Portland, Oregon. He holds an MBA from The Monterey Institute of International Studies, bringing a solid business background to Circle of Care. As an experienced caregiver, he is strongly committed to helping the elderly receive the compassionate and effective caregiving and the quality health care they deserve.
The Circle of Care team is privileged to assist elders and their families who know that home is the place to heal.
